6BISS VO Hands-on
In the hands-on session, you have the choice of four use cases:
- Explore the Pleiades with TOPCAT and Aladin -- If you've never done anything with the VO before, this is what you should go for first.
- Adding catalog data... -- this is a quick intro to upload joins and the like. If you've never done that before, this is a must. Even if you have done it before, have a quick peek for the Simbad marginalium in there.
- The demo -- try the objects-with-infrared-excess use case from the talk. The link gives you lecture notes, the use case is towards the end.
- TAP uploads and SAMP in pyvo -- if you have some experience with the VO already and know a good bit of python, try this notebook.
You can of course tackle more than one if you're fast.
